It Is Not OK To Just Survive
I have but one question for you; what is true?
It is a simple question, but the simplicity of a question rarely determines the complexity of its answer.
This question we must ask ourselves every day, every moment even.
Why is this?
Because the truth does not change, but the lies can evolve to look, sound, and even feel like the truth, especially so when they are told explicitly to deceive, specifically to distort and hide the truth.
Our history is filled with great deceivers.
Men and women who found that if they ignore morality, they may hide the truth, that evil of their actions.
What's worse is that these historical figures have paved the way and thus laid the foundation for a new generation of deceivers.
These latest versions are even better equipped to totally ignore that small, still voice that deciphers right from wrong.
These understand better than their predecessors that in this corrupt world the truth only matters if it is presented first.
So long as they can proclaim their lies first, then they control the narrative and can bury the truth.
But that isn't even the worst of it all.
See, the worst part is that you allow it, encourage it even.
Offended?
Good, you should be.
You are not living like a human, but an animal.
A pet, with no say in your day-to-day.
Why do you willingly remain blind to the truth?
Are you afraid?
Are you weak?
No!
You have allowed yourself to become willingly conditioned.
I read an evil, deceptive quote this morning that gave life to this rant.
“It's okay if all you did today was survive.”
Why do you believe this lie?
This is not okay!
Stop telling people it is okay!
Life is tough, but you are tougher!
Do not allow thoughts of mediocrity to fill you, they are lies!
You are not mediocre, you are great!
The worst thing happening today is not war, hunger, division, or murder, it is your willingness to settle for less.
The deceivers know you will settle.
They plan on your settling so that they can adopt your greatness.
Your greatness that you abandon willingly for mediocrity, they take for themselves.
So what is true?
I will not tell you because the truth does not take root in you if you do not discover it for yourself. Stop willfully blinding yourself with mediocrity.
Show us all of what you are truly made.
“A man who lies to himself, and believes his own lies becomes unable to recognize truth, either in himself or anyone else, and he ends up losing respect for himself and for others. When he has no respect for anyone, he can no longer love, and, in order to divert himself, having no love in him, he yields to his impulses, indulges in the lowest forms of pleasure, and behaves in the end like an animal. And it all comes from lying - lying to others and to yourself.”
- Fyodor Dostoevsky
